FINANCE MANAGER
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Manager to perform accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments. You will be conducting audits on the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to regulations, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
To ensure success as a Finance Manager, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of best practices in general ledger accounting and experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the In-Country Manager in the financial and administrative management of the company.
- Develop, maintain and review procedures in line with Aspen Medical policies for processing income, payments, payroll, monthly and year-end accounting, bank and cash management.
- Ensure files and systems are meticulously maintained, adhering to Aspen Medical policy.
- Prepare monthly accounts and financial statements for the management and the Board of the company.
- Prepare for internal and external audit and tax fillings as required by the local regulatory authorities in PNG.
- Assist In-Country manager in building up and preparing the annual budget and the quarterly revisions.
- Monitor supplier accounts and provide management with AP aged report each month.
- Keep abreast of Payroll tax legislation and ensure that the returns are completed on time and taxes paid.
- Monitor and supervise payroll administration.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and journals.
- Prepare accurate and timely tax reconciliations and tax forms to meet the financial and tax requirements and compliance including GST and PAYG.
- Maintain all relevant financial and associated reporting systems.
- Liaise with all departments of the company and with customers and suppliers as required.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, or in a related specialization.
- CPA or CA or equivalent Accounting regulatory body
- Experience on end-to-end accounting
- At least 5-7 years experience in general ledger accounting, or similar.
- Payroll expertise will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting and business management software, such as Oracle
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Superb time-management and organisational skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
